viewing property safely
Due to the newest lockdown, we are having to stay and work at home again to ensure that we are all keeping safe and ultimately slowing down the spread of Covid-19 as we wait for the vaccination to be rolled out. Below we have included some information from Government guidelines for when you are viewing houses to rent.
Before going to a physical viewing, you could see if there is an online viewing available, if this is possible it will give you a chance to be able to view the property if you are unsure about it. It will also save you the journey to the property!
When viewing a property, you must keep a 2m distance from anyone who is not in your household whilst also wearing a mask unless you are exempt for medical reasons. Whilst viewing a house you should ensure that you are regularly washing your hands as this helps to stop the spread of Covid-19, you should also avoid touching your face after encountering surfaces within the house. If you experience any Covid-19 symptoms before viewing a house please stay at home to limit the spread of the virus.
At the viewing you should ensure that you bring your own hand sanitiser to make sure you are regularly washing your hands after touching surfaces, a face mask to limit the spread, disposable gloves which are advisable if you think you will be touching a lot of surfaces within the house to bring peace of mind to you and the house owners.
